Application:

Polypropylene fibers can be divided into long fibers, short fibers, spunbonded nonwovens, meltblown nonwovens and so on.

1.Polypropylene long fiber can be divided into ordinary long fiber and fine denier long fiber (monofilament fineness ≤2.2 dtex, which can be used to produce clothing and decoration and some industrial filament products. Polypropylene fine denier long fiber has good luster, soft hand feeling, good drape and low density, which is suitable for knitting industry. When it is interwoven with cotton, viscose yarn, silk and spandex to form cotton cover, silk cover and other products, it is an ideal material for making high-end sportswear and T-shirts.

2.The production process of polypropylene staple fiber mostly adopts porous, low-speed and continuous process, that is, short spinning process. Polypropylene staple fiber blended with cotton can be made into polypropylene cotton fine cloth and bed sheets, that is, fiber blended with viscose can be made into blankets, polypropylene pure spinning and blended wool, polypropylene blankets, carpets and polypropylene cotton wadding cigarette filters. The thickness of the fiber for sanitary products is 1.5-2.5dtex, while the thickness of the fiber for above-ground fabric is 5-10 dtex. The fiber length is 1.5-200.0 mm, depending on the purpose of the fiber. The length of short fiber used as concrete is 1.5-200.0 mm, that used as diaper is generally 40.0 mm, and that used as ground fabric is 60.0 mm.

3.Spunbonded nonwovens, also known as filament nonwovens, are made by extrusion spinning, stretching, lapping and bonding after melting polypropylene raw materials. It has the characteristics of short process, low cost, high productivity, excellent product performance and wide application. Polypropylene nonwovens are widely used in various fields of production and life (such as primary antifouling clothing, agricultural cloth, furniture cloth, lining of footwear industry, etc.).

4.The fiber produced by melt-blown nonwoven technology is very fine (up to 0.25μm), and the melt-blown fabric has a large specific surface area, small pores and large porosity, so its application characteristics such as filtration, shielding and oil absorption are difficult to be possessed by nonwovens produced by other separate processes. Melt-blown nonwovens are widely used in medical and health care, thermal insulation materials, filter materials and other fields.

5.Construction industry:

1. Cement mortar interior (exterior) wall painting, aerated concrete plastering, interior decoration putty and thermal insulation mortar.

2. Explosion-proof and fire-resistant engineering, civil air defense military engineering, oil platforms, chimneys, fire-resistant materials, etc.

3. shotcrete tunnel, culvert lining, thin-walled structure, slope reinforcement, etc.

4. Concrete rigid self-waterproof structure basement floor, side wall, roof, roof cast-in-place floor slab, reservoir, etc. Cracking-resistant, impact-resistant, wear-resistant and demanding projects, water conservancy projects, subways, airport runways, port terminals, overpass bridge decks, piers, super-long structures, etc.
